Butter tarts: A Canadian treasure

Butter tarts are a Canadian tradition. Back in the 1970s, a Canadian contest concluded that these butter tarts, originating from Wilkie’s Bakery in Orillia, Ontario, were the best. Add a sprinkle of toasted walnuts when adding the raisins, or, if you don’t like raisins, use only walnuts.
